The opener is the 2023 final again: India v Australia at Newlands, Cape Town, on Thursday 7 October 2027. The last group match is the first ever World Cup game at the new Mosi-oa-Tunya Stadium in Victoria Falls, against Zimbabwe on 24 October.

The group match is on Sunday 10 October 2027 at the Wanderers, Johannesburg. Because the ICC pre-seeded the Super 7, there is a second date too: India hold slot A1 and Pakistan slot A3, and A1 v A3 is scheduled for Sunday 7 November 2027 in Cape Town. That match happens as India v Pakistan only if both finish in the top three of Group A (or Pakistan is the better fourth placed team). If someone else displaces Pakistan, that team plays India on 7 November instead.
Both are Sundays and both start at 10:00 local, 1:30 pm IST.
