Full Control: How to List, Cancel, and Snooze Your WhatsApp Reminders
Viewing All Your Reminders
To see everything you have pending, send any of these to NagMeLater:
You'll get back a numbered list with each reminder's message, date, and time, and a π indicator for recurring ones:
1. Call bank, Thu, Jun 12 at 3:00 PM IST
2. Send weekly report, Mon, Jun 16 at 9:00 AM IST π every week
3. Pay rent, Sun, Jul 1 at 9:00 AM IST π every month
Reply cancel 2 to cancel one, or cancel all.
Cancelling a Specific Reminder
After viewing your list, cancel by number:
For recurring reminders, cancelling removes all future occurrences, not just the next one.
Cancel All Reminders
For a fresh start, cancel everything at once:
No app, no account. Save the number, send a message, done.
Cancel by Keyword
You can also cancel by describing what you want to stop, NagMeLater matches by keyword:
If exactly one reminder matches the keyword, it's cancelled immediately. If multiple match, you'll be shown the list to pick from. If none match, you'll see your full reminder list.
Snoozing Reminders
When a reminder fires but you can't act on it immediately, snooze it:
| What you send | What happens |
|---|---|
| snooze | Re-fires in 10 minutes (default) |
| snooze 30 | Re-fires in 30 minutes |
| snooze 2 hours | Re-fires in 2 hours |
| remind me again in 1 hour | Re-fires in 60 minutes |
Snooze always applies to your most recently fired reminder. You can snooze as many times as you need, there's no limit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I edit a reminder instead of cancelling and re-setting?
Not directly, editing in-place isn't supported yet. The workaround is to cancel the existing reminder ('cancel 2') and set a new one with the corrected details. Takes about 20 seconds.
What if I cancel a reminder by mistake?
There's no undo, just re-set it by sending the reminder message again. If it was recurring and you remember the schedule, re-send the same message and it'll start fresh from the next occurrence.
How many pending reminders can I have at once?
There's no hard cap on pending reminders for paid subscribers. Trial users can set up to 5 total reminders.
Does snoozing count against my free trial?
No. Snooze creates a new one-off reminder internally, but it doesn't count against your trial quota.
Can I see reminders I've already received?
The 'reminders' command only shows pending (not-yet-fired) reminders. Sent reminders aren't listed, but you can see them in your WhatsApp chat history.
