Your Productivity Dashboard Just Moved to WhatsApp
Productivity Apps Don't Live Where You Do
Your reminders are in one app. Your tasks are in another. Your habit streaks are in a third. And your calendar is somewhere else entirely. Every morning you reconstruct your day by cross-referencing four different tools.
NagMeLater takes the opposite approach: bring the overview to the channel you're already in. Three words unlock three different views — without leaving WhatsApp.
'Today' — Your Morning Snapshot, On Demand
Type today (or "my day", "what's on my plate") and you get a single message with everything relevant right now:
- Today's reminders — listed with their exact times
- Past-due tasks — tasks where the due date has already passed
- Due-soon tasks — tasks with deadlines in the next 3 days
- Goals with upcoming deadlines — goals due within 7 days
⏰ Today's reminders (2):
• 09:00 AM — Follow up with Rahul
• 03:00 PM — Client call _(daily)_
🔴 Past due:
• Submit invoice _(was due yesterday)_
🟡 Due soon:
• Renew domain hosting _(tomorrow)_
Unlike the morning briefing — which fires at a set time and requires setup — "today" works at any time of day. Run it at 8am to plan your morning. Run it at 2pm to see what's left. Run it at 8pm to see if anything's overdue.
'This Week' — A 7-Day View, Grouped by Day
Type this week (or "week ahead", "my week", "next 7 days") and you get the next 7 days of reminders, grouped by day label:
Wednesday, Jul 2
• 09:00 AM — Follow up with Rahul
• 03:00 PM — Client call
Thursday, Jul 3
• 11:00 AM — Submit weekly report
Monday, Jul 7
• 09:00 AM — Team standup
• 05:00 PM — Invoice Priya's project
Goals with deadlines within 7 days appear separately at the bottom of the message. "This week" is useful at the start of the week to see your full load, or mid-week to check what's coming up.
'Stats' — Your Personal Productivity Numbers
Type stats (or "my stats", "productivity", "progress") and you get a summary of your activity:
July:
• 18 reminders set
• 14 reminders delivered
• 7 tasks completed
All time:
• 312 reminders delivered
• 89 tasks completed
• 3 goals achieved 🏆
• Member since May 15, 2026
Habit streaks:
• go for a run: 12-day streak 🔥
• read 20 minutes: 6-day streak ✨
Stats give you a sense of momentum. Seeing "89 tasks completed" and a 12-day running streak is more motivating than an empty dashboard. They also help you calibrate: if you set 18 reminders but only 14 delivered, your 24-hour messaging window is closing too often.
On-Demand vs. Scheduled: Two Different Patterns
NagMeLater offers both push (scheduled) and pull (on-demand) views of your commitments. They serve different moments:
- Morning briefing — fires automatically at your set time. Good for passive review before the day starts.
- today — on-demand, anytime. Good when you need to reorient mid-day.
- this week — on-demand, 7-day forward view. Good for Monday morning planning or mid-week recalibration.
- weekly review — fires every Monday automatically. Good for structured review of last week and preview of this one.
Most users use both: the scheduled briefing for passive awareness, and the on-demand commands when they want to actively plan or check in.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between 'today' and the morning briefing?
The morning briefing fires automatically at a fixed time you set (e.g., 9am daily). 'Today' is on-demand — you type it whenever you want, at any time of day. They show similar data, but the morning briefing requires setup and runs on a schedule, while 'today' always works immediately without any configuration.
Does 'this week' show all my reminders for the next 7 days?
Yes. 'This week' shows all upcoming reminders from today through the next 7 days, grouped by day label. For users with many reminders, it shows up to 40 and notes if more exist. Goals with deadlines within 7 days appear at the bottom.
What counts in my 'stats'?
Stats show: reminders set and delivered this month, tasks completed this month, total reminders delivered all time, tasks completed all time, goals achieved all time, your member since date, and your top habit streaks. Stats are personal to your phone number — nobody else can see them.
Can I get 'today' to fire automatically instead of manually?
Yes — the morning briefing does exactly that. Set it with 'morning briefing at 8am' and you'll get a daily digest at that time automatically. 'Today' is for when you want the same overview on demand at any other moment.
Do these commands cost reminder credits?
No. 'Today', 'this week', and 'stats' are read-only commands that don't create any reminders. They're free to use regardless of your plan or trial balance.
